Big windows with awesome views – a great place to relax on the deck and watch the birds. The unique saltwater lake is swimable in the summer; it's a closed cove with no tidal action, with private dock, and a beachfront on Case Inlet a short walk away.
Wake to otters playing on the dock. Watch the resident ducks paddle & herons swoop. Watching the birds on the ever-changing colors and reflections of the water can be an all-afternoon meditation. Take the canoe over to the berm that forms the only warm, swim-able salt water lake on the sound. Walk the beach at sunset to watch the spectacular colors over the Olympics; s'mores around the fire later; bliss.
Guest will have access to the private dock, canoe and 2 SUPs, and the Cove Association private beach. Joemma Beach State Park, with some short trails, a marina, and a pier for fishing is walking distance. The beach is wonderful for walking, and picnicking, and is located on the quiet Case Inlet – perfect for kayaking. Tacoma is 45 minutes away for wonderful museum destinations, The Glass Museum, Lemay Car Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, and the Washington State History Museum. There is a golf course ½ hour away, and a winery down the road. There are many other adventures nearby, Penrose State Park and Lakebay Marina are on the East side of the Key Peninsula. The cabin is a 1 ½ hour drive from Seattle.
Cabin has two small bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with bunk beds, and an open loft upstairs that has a double bed. It has one full bathroom. It is a cozy cabin and suited for up to 4 people maximum.
Perfect for a ladies group getaway weekend. Contact the owner about the possibility of adding a guided arts or crafts activity to your weekend.
The cabin is located near YMCA Camp Coleman, it would be a perfect place for parents to stay while their child is at camp ... or if you were a camper and remember those idyllic days on Whiteman Cove, you can re-live them at the cabin.
