Our Lakewood home is located on 5 secluded acres, in a private gated community, and in the heart of the Mount Saint Helens Recreational area. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful area. Lake Merwin and Yale Lake with their parks, boat ramps, and beaches are less than 2 miles away. They offer numerous swimming, boating, kayaking, and other water activities. Additional activities include visiting Mount Saint Helens, fishing, mountain biking, golfing (at Lewis River Golf Course) and enjoying a wide variety of amazing hikes complete with gorgeous views and spectacular water falls. Old growth forests, Swift Reservoir, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, are also relatively close to name just a few of the other popular destinations. The nearby Ape Caves are also a unique and popular destination for both children and adults. In the winter Marble Mountain Snow park is open for cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and snow mobiles.
